Hi there, I'm trying to run nunit tests that create Lightspeed model entities, but running them throws an error (i'm just trying to find out why but will involve me rebuilding nunit from source as the whole GUI crashes!) I'm just wondering if anyone has used Nunit 2.4.6 + lightspeed?
Cheers Owen |

Hi Owen, We run against Nunit 2.4.1 and 2.2.9. I'll look at upgrading to the newest release soon but I'd be interested to hear what you find. Thanks for checking out LightSpeed, John-Daniel |

Strange that the gui crashes. Try the command line runner to find out the actual error. Cheers, Andrew. |

It's a stackoverflow exception, but no idea where it's coming from, it's a machine problem i'm pretty sure as i tried with the 2.4.1 assemblies and got the same errors. I need to get a debug build of Nunit together but i'm running into problems with that just because of the fact that I've only got vs2008 installed...
oh well back to first principals |

ok so I've made the models as basic as possible: I have two models. a Day and Venue with each Day having many Venues:
public class Venue :Entity<Guid> readonly EntityHolder<Day> day = new EntityHolder<Day>(); } public class Event:Entity<Guid> readonly EntityCollection<Day> days = new EntityCollection<Day>(); } Creating a new Day() in the test causes the stack overflow, i'm going to back up to an earlier release as I didn't get this before upgrading to the latest release |

After downgrading this error no longer occurs |

Downgrading LightSpeed or Nunit? Cheers, John-Daniel |

erm lightspeed. sorry should have been more specific.
with the latest build I get a Stack Overflow no matter what version of NUnit I use

I mean release... not build. I haven't tried against a nightly build

Hi Owen, If you could send through a small repro model and SQL then we can try and diagnose the issue. Cheers, Andrew. |

Will do, for the moment i'm pretty sure it's to do with having an invalid model (or possibly due to having an entity called Event?) I downgraded lightspeed, and refactored till the tests all passed (ie crud tests all passed) and then updated lightspeed again, and everything works again.
I'll try and reproduce the error with a small test, If i can't it might have to be left as one of those things :(
