I'm using a Postgresql 8.4 database. I use the LightSpeed designer to Update Database and create all of the tables ect.
When I try to insert into a Entity that has the Identity Method set to IdentityColumn I get a error back from Postgresql "ERROR: 23502: null value in column "protocoltypeid" violates not-null constraint"
Do I have to do any thing additional to Postgre to have it support Identity Colums for LightSpeed? |

I'm looking at how it creates the Tables when you click on "Update Database..." and it creates this SQL to generate the Table CREATE TABLE `TestType` (Id INT NOT NULL PRIMARY KEY ,
<---- This is for MySQL 5. But almost completely identical for Postgresql
It seams that it does not set the Auto Increment for the Id Column. I guess that is just something I need to do manuanly after creating the tables through the designer. |

Unfortunately the designer does not currently set the identity / autoincrement flag on identity columns; so you are right, this is something you will need to do manually after the designer creates the table for you. |
